Chad Buelow is a Managing Director at Pegasus Capital Markets, where he arranges and structures financing for commercial real estate investments throughout the country from commercial banks, CMBS lenders, credit unions, debt funds and life insurance companies. Mr. Buelow’s experience includes permanent, bridge and construction financing secured by virtually all property types, with a focus on retail shopping centers, office buildings and multifamily properties. In addition, Mr. Buelow represents financial institutions in connection with the disposition of performing and non-performing loans and REO properties.
Before founding Pegasus Capital Markets in 2013, Mr. Buelow was Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Verona Capital Markets Inc., a boutique real estate investment banking firm based in Los Angeles, where he arranged debt and equity financing for institutional and middle market clients and represented financial institutions in connection with the disposition of distressed assets.
Prior to his experience at Verona, Mr. Buelow was a Senior Associate at Pircher, Nichols & Meeks, a national real estate law firm headquartered in Los Angeles, where he was a real estate finance attorney specializing in the representation of lenders and borrowers in connection with mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions. While at Pircher, Mr. Buelow supervised the closing of hundreds of loans in California and throughout the country involving all types of commercial real estate – including retail shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, medical office buildings, hotels, warehouses, industrial complexes, self storage facilities, mobile home parks, film studios and raw land. Mr. Buelow’s experience included the structuring of fixed and floating rate loans, conduit and portfolio loans, permanent loans, bridge loans, construction loans, land loans, junior mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, leasehold loans, A/B note structures, promissory note splits, loan participations, loan modifications and workouts, loan purchases and sales, loan assumptions and intercreditor agreements. Before joining Pircher, Mr. Buelow was an Associate in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Cooley Godward LLP in Palo Alto, California.
Mr. Buelow received a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 2000. In 1997, he received a B.A., with Distinction, in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Buelow has been a member of the State Bar of California since his admission in December, 2000, and is a member of its Real Property Law Section.
Tyler Johnson is a Vice President at Pegasus Capital Markets, where he is primarily responsible for business development and transaction coordination in connection with the financing of commercial real estate investments throughout the country. Mr. Johnson is extensively involved in the day to day operations of the firm and supervises the underwriting of all financing transactions handled by PCM. Mr. Johnson was previously an Associate at Pegasus Capital Markets, where he was actively involved in each transaction, from the initial loan underwriting and sizing, to marketing and identification of a lender to loan closing.
Mr. Johnson has developed a client focused, detail oriented approach and works diligently to be an advocate for the client throughout the entire loan process. Mr. Johnson has experience with permanent loans, bridge loans and construction loans and regularly interacts with all types of lenders, including CMBS lenders, local banks, national commercial banks, credit unions and life insurance companies and is intimately familiar with the underwriting standards and closing processes of each lender type.
Prior to joining Pegasus Capital Markets in 2014, Mr. Johnson was an Investment Sales Associate at Charles Dunn Company in Los Angeles, where he focused on market research and business development in the Beverly Hills and West Los Angeles multifamily markets.
Mr. Johnson received a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Entrepreneurship and Finance from Chapman University in 2013. Mr. Johnson was raised in the San Fernando Valley and lives in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
Christian Haller is an Analyst at Pegasus Capital Markets, where he is responsible for underwriting, financial analysis, market research and due diligence review in connection with all financing transactions handled by PCM.
Prior to joining Pegasus Capital Markets, Mr. Haller was a Global Wealth Management Intern at Stifel Financial Corporation, where he was primarily responsible for preparing stock portfolios for senior representatives and maintaining client-advisor relations.
Mr. Haller received a B.S. in Engineering with a concentration in Industrial and Systems from the University of Southern California in 2018. Mr. Haller was raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and currently resides in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.
